The Schilthorn summit at 2,970 metres above the Lauterbrunnen Valley offers an unobstructed panorama stretching from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to Mont Blanc and the Black Forest on clear days. A revolving restaurant, Piz Gloria, sits on the summit and gained international recognition as a filming location. The Lauterbrunnen to Mürren to Schilthorn cable car route passes through scenery representative of the western Bernese Oberland.
