A glacial lake at the foot of the Llanberis Pass, Llyn Padarn is flanked by the ruins of Dolbadarn Castle and backed by the steep slopes leading up towards Snowdon. The lake is the foreground element in the classic northward view from Llanberis, with Dolbadarn's round tower reflected in calm water. The surrounding country park and the narrow-gauge Llanberis Lake Railway along the northern shore make it accessible to families and less mobile visitors.
