The Ring of Brodgar is a late Neolithic henge and stone circle on the isthmus between Loch Stenness and the Harray Loch on Mainland Orkney, forming part of the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site. Originally comprising sixty standing stones, twenty-seven remain upright, arranged in a circle of roughly 104 metres in diameter within a rock-cut ditch. The site's elevated setting with water visible on two sides makes it one of the most atmospherically situated prehistoric monuments in Britain.
