The Old Man of Storr is a prominent basalt pinnacle rising from the eastern slopes of the Trotternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye. Standing roughly 50 metres tall, it is one of Scotland's most recognizable geological features and a landmark visible from the main road north of Portree. The hike to its base rewards walkers with views east over the Sound of Raasay and south along the coastline.
