The precise northern tip of the Jutland Peninsula and the northernmost point of the Danish mainland, where the Skagerrak and Kattegat meet in a shallow convergence of currents. The meeting point is reached by a short walk across a sand spit from Skagen, and at low tide it is possible to stand at the narrow land point with waves from two different seas breaking on opposite sides simultaneously. The constantly shifting sand and pale northern light create a distinctly elemental seascape.
