A public artwork in Sibelius Park in the Töölö district of Helsinki, unveiled in 1967 and designed by sculptor Eila Hiltunen. The monument consists of more than 600 hollow steel pipes welded together into an undulating wave-like form approximately six metres high, evoking the sound and motion of orchestral music. A portrait relief of composer Jean Sibelius is mounted on a separate rock nearby. The organic metallic composition is among the most distinctive public sculptures in Scandinavia.
