Andøya

The northernmost island in the Vesterålen archipelago in Nordland county, known for the combination of flat bog and moorland in its interior with dramatic coastal cliffs and beaches along its western shore. Bleik, on the west coast, has a broad sandy beach and a sea-stack island called Bleiksøya that supports one of Norway's largest puffin colonies. The island is also a base for sperm whale safaris, as the deep-water Andfjord provides feeding grounds for the whales year-round.
