Trondheim

Norway's third-largest city, situated at the mouth of the Nidelva river on the Trondheimsfjord in central Norway, and historically the country's medieval capital and royal coronation site. The old city retains a grid of wooden buildings, wharves, and the distinctive Nidelven wharf district of Nedre Elvehavn, while Nidaros Cathedral dominates the central skyline. The city is also a major university centre, giving it a younger demographic profile than the capital.
