A prominent massif in Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park, reaching 2,286 metres above sea level, the highest point in the Dovre range. The mountain is the traditional territory of the reintroduced musk ox and safaris guided by rangers are available from Kongsvoll station. On a clear day the summit offers views across most of the Norwegian mountain ranges, with Jotunheimen visible to the southwest and Rondane to the southeast.
