Laugavegur is a 55-kilometre highland trail connecting Landmannalaugar with Þórsmörk through some of Iceland's most varied volcanic terrain. The route crosses obsidian ridges, rhyolite colour fields, glacial rivers, ash deserts, and green valleys over four to five days, with mountain huts at each stage. It is internationally regarded as one of the premier multi-day trekking routes in Europe.
