Part of the Bunkamura cultural complex in the Shibuya district, Orchard Hall opened in 1989 as a large multipurpose auditorium seating around 2,150. It hosts orchestral concerts, opera, ballet and musicals, and is known for a European-style interior and flexible staging. The wider Bunkamura building also contains a smaller theatre, a museum and a cinema, making it a one-stop cultural destination in busy Shibuya. The venue sits within easy walking distance of Shibuya's famous crossing and shopping streets.
