Housed within the Palais de Chaillot on the Trocadéro, this national theatre sits directly across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. The building dates from the 1937 International Exposition and its terraces offer some of the finest views in Paris. As one of France's national theatres, Chaillot specialises in dance, presenting classical and contemporary companies from around the world. The vast subterranean auditorium contrasts with the monumental Art Deco exterior above the esplanade.
