Overlooking the Eiffel Tower from the Palais de Chaillot, this anthropology museum explores human evolution, diversity and culture across the ages. Its permanent gallery traces the story of humankind through fossils, casts, tools and interactive displays that ask where we come from and who we are. The collection grew from earlier ethnographic holdings and reopened after a lengthy modern refurbishment. From its upper floors visitors gain one of the finest framed views across the Seine toward the Champ de Mars.
