The Torre Branca is a slender steel observation tower in Parco Sempione behind the Sforza Castle in Milan, designed by the architect Gio Ponti and erected in 1933 for a triennial exhibition. Rising about 108 metres, it was among the tallest structures in the city when built and remains one of the few places to view Milan from a height in the historic centre. A small lift carries a handful of visitors at a time to an enclosed platform overlooking the park, the castle and the distant cathedral spires.
