The Europaturm is a telecommunications tower in the Ginnheim district of Frankfurt, completed in 1979 and rising about 337 metres, the tallest structure in the city and one of the tallest in Germany. Its concrete shaft carries a red-and-white pod near the top that once held a public observation deck and a revolving restaurant, both long closed to visitors. Nicknamed the Ginnheimer Spargel, or Ginnheim asparagus, for its slender form, the tower remains a familiar marker on the Frankfurt skyline of banking high-rises.
