The Main Tower is a skyscraper in Frankfurt's financial district and the only one of the city's high-rises with a public observation deck. Completed in 2000 and rising some two hundred metres, its cylindrical glass form is a prominent element of the skyline often nicknamed Mainhattan. A high-speed lift carries visitors to an open-air platform near the summit, offering sweeping panoramas over the towers of the banking quarter, the Main river, and the surrounding Taunus hills. A restaurant and bar occupy the floors just below the terrace.
