This harbourside reserve in Vaucluse wraps around Shark Beach, a sheltered netted swimming spot popular with families on the eastern side of Sydney Harbour. Once part of a grand estate, its lawns are shaded by mature figs and dotted with picnic tables, and a historic changing pavilion and kiosk overlook the sand. Coastal walking tracks lead along the headlands with views back toward the harbour entrance and the city. The gentle water and grassy foreshore make it a favourite summer destination, while the surrounding bushland links to the wider.
