This historic amusement park sits on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour at Milsons Point, beneath the arch of the Harbour Bridge. Opened in 1935, it is entered through a huge smiling face flanked by twin towers, an image that has become a much-loved city icon. The heritage-listed grounds mix vintage rides such as the Coney Island funhouse with modern attractions, all set against harbour and bridge views. It has closed and reopened over the decades but remains a nostalgic fixture of the foreshore.
