Located in the Monterrico district, this private museum grew from the collection of industrialist Miguel Mujica Gallo and pairs pre-Columbian gold and silver artifacts with an extensive armory of historic weapons from around the world. Display cases hold ceremonial masks, tumi knives, jewelry and funerary ornaments crafted by Andean metalworkers. The arms collection ranges from medieval European blades to decorated firearms. The two themes sit side by side, making it a distinctive if idiosyncratic stop in the capital.
