This striking modern museum on the outskirts of Puebla, designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, is devoted to the baroque as an artistic and cultural movement across the world. Its sculptural white walls curve around interior courtyards and pools, forming a building as expressive as the art it houses. Galleries explore baroque painting, music, architecture and thought through original works and immersive displays. Opened in 2016, it is one of the most architecturally ambitious institutions in central Mexico.
