Rutherford House is a restored Edwardian mansion on the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton, built in 1911 for Alexander Cameron Rutherford, the province's first premier. The red-brick house, furnished to the period, interprets the domestic life of an influential political family in the young provincial capital. Costumed interpreters guide visitors through parlours, a library and a period tea room. As a designated provincial historic site, it preserves a tangible link to the early years of Alberta's government and settlement.
