The Redpath Museum is a natural-history museum on the campus of McGill University in Montreal, housed in a handsome nineteenth-century building that is among the oldest purpose-built museum structures in Canada. Its galleries display dinosaur fossils, Egyptian mummies, minerals and ethnographic collections gathered over more than a century of scholarship. The high, skylit central hall retains a Victorian cabinet-of-curiosities atmosphere. Free to enter, it remains a favourite with families and students exploring the sciences.
