Set in a warehouse along the Sacramento River, this museum displays roughly 150 vehicles that trace the automobile from brass-era horseless carriages to muscle cars and alternative-fuel prototypes. Exhibits are arranged to show how cars reshaped American life, from roadside culture to assembly-line labor. A recreated 1930s service station and rotating themed shows add context, and many vehicles are on loan and change regularly. Visitors can climb into a Model T for a driving demonstration, and volunteers restore cars in an on-site workshop.
