This 21-acre public park in downtown Atlanta was created as a gathering place for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games and remains a lively civic space. Its centerpiece is the Fountain of Rings, a computer-controlled water feature shaped like the Olympic symbol where children play in summer. Commemorative bricks, sculptures, and a memorial recall both the games and a bombing that struck the site during the event. Surrounded by major attractions, the green hosts concerts and festivals and anchors the downtown's redevelopment.
