Mbare Musika is the largest and oldest market in Harare, located in the historic township of Mbare and serving as the country's principal wholesale hub for fresh produce. Farmers and traders from across Zimbabwe converge here, and the surrounding area is a busy interchange for long-distance buses. Beyond vegetables and fruit, stalls sell crafts, traditional medicines and second-hand goods, and the market is closely tied to the cultural and musical life of the township. Its energy and scale make it a vivid window onto everyday urban Zimbabwe.
