The Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences in Harare, long known as the Queen Victoria Museum, presents the archaeology, ethnography and natural history of the country. Its collections include material from the Great Zimbabwe civilisation, prehistoric tools, and displays on the peoples and wildlife of the region. Dioramas of Zimbabwean fauna and exhibits on rock art and Iron Age settlement give an overview of the region's deep past. It is a principal branch of the national museums network and a resource for schools.
