The Camayenne Botanical Garden in Conakry is a green space on the Kaloum peninsula preserving tropical trees and plants amid the growing city. Dating from the colonial period, it once served agricultural research and now offers shaded paths and specimens of West African flora. The garden provides a quiet refuge from the dense, humid streets of the capital. Though modest, it is one of the few substantial public green areas in Conakry and a pleasant spot for a stroll near the coast.
