This museum occupies the former Ikeja home of the Afrobeat pioneer and political provocateur Fela Kuti, who named his residence the Kalakuta Republic in defiance of the Nigerian state. Preserved rooms display his clothing, instruments, and personal belongings, while exhibits recount his music, activism, and repeated clashes with the authorities. A rooftop lounge overlooks the surrounding neighbourhood. The house has become a place of pilgrimage for fans of Afrobeat and anchors the annual Felabration festival held in his memory.
