Opened in 2014 on Avenue Moulay Hassan, this was the first major museum built in Morocco since independence and the country's flagship institution for modern art. Designed by architect Karim Chakor, its facade blends contemporary lines with traditional Moroccan motifs. The permanent collection traces a century of Moroccan painting and sculpture, while temporary exhibitions have brought works by Picasso and Goya to Rabat. Spread over several floors, it anchors the capital's growing cultural scene.
