The Carpet Museum of Iran occupies a distinctive building near Laleh Park whose exterior lattice was designed to shade the galleries and evoke the loom. Inside, it gathers hand-knotted carpets and kilims from across the country's weaving regions, some centuries old, showing how pattern, dye, and knot density vary between provinces. Visitors can compare tribal geometric designs with the intricate garden and medallion carpets of city workshops. Displays trace the craft from raw wool and natural dyes to the finished textiles.
