Milad Tower rises over central Tehran as one of the tallest telecommunication towers in the world, its concrete shaft topped by a twelve-storey head pod. Completed in the 2000s, it works as a broadcast mast, observation point, and event venue overlooking the sprawling capital against the Alborz mountains. Visitors ascend by high-speed lift to open and enclosed decks, a revolving restaurant, and a small gallery. On clear days the view reaches from the dense city grid to the snow-capped ridge of Mount Tochal.
