Wahat Al Karama

A memorial in Abu Dhabi honouring Emiratis who have died in service to the country, situated across from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Its central feature is a group of large leaning aluminium tablets that appear to support one another, symbolising unity and mutual reliance. Surrounding the monument are a reflective pool, a pavilion and a memorial plaza inscribed with quotations. Opened as a place of remembrance and national reflection, it combines striking modern sculpture with a solemn ceremonial setting.
