Perdana Putra is the office complex of the Malaysian prime minister, crowning a low hill at the head of the main boulevard in the administrative capital. Its green onion domes and Palladian-influenced facade combine Malay, Islamic, and European architectural motifs in a deliberate expression of national identity. The building overlooks a grand ceremonial plaza flanked by the Putra Mosque and the central lake. While the interior is closed to the public, the exterior and civic square are a focal point for visitors.
