One of the largest Buddhist temples in the southern metropolis, this pagoda was built in the 1960s and 1970s in a style influenced by Japanese temple architecture, reflecting ties between Vietnamese and Japanese Buddhist communities. Its most prominent feature is a tall multi-storey stupa rising beside the main hall, richly decorated with carved detail. Inside, spacious worship halls hold large gilded Buddha images and rows of memorial tablets, making the busy-avenue complex an active centre of devotion.
