This large green space in the centre of the southern metropolis is one of the city's most popular parks, a shaded expanse of old trees, lawns and walkways that offers relief from the surrounding traffic. In the early mornings it fills with residents practising exercise, tai chi and dance, and a well-known corner hosts a gathering of songbird enthusiasts who bring their caged birds to sing. The park holds a replica of an ancient Cham tower and sculptures, near the Reunification Palace for an easy visit.
