Clifton Beach, Karachi

A long stretch of sand along the Arabian Sea in southern Karachi, Clifton Beach is the city's most popular seaside gathering place. Families come to ride camels and horses, browse informal stalls, and watch the sunset over the water, while vendors sell snacks and trinkets along the promenade. The beach has been a recreational resort since colonial times and remains crowded on weekends and holidays.
