A terraced viewpoint and garden set roughly halfway up the Margalla Hills, Daman-e-Koh offers one of the best panoramas of Islamabad, with the Faisal Mosque and the geometric sectors of the capital laid out below. Its name loosely translates as the foot of the hills, and the landscaped terraces are planted with pines and flowering shrubs. Reached by a winding road from the city, the spot draws families, walkers and photographers, especially in the evening when the capital's lights spread across the plain.
