A dramatic coastal park at the southern tip of Yeongdo island in Busan, known for its sheer cliffs, dense pine and camellia forest, and sweeping views over the open sea. A looping road served by a shuttle tram leads to a lighthouse, an observation deck, and rocky platforms battered by the waves below, from which distant islands and, on clear days, the Japanese island of Tsushima can be glimpsed. The park takes its name from a Silla-era king said to have admired the scenery here, and it remains a favorite scenic escape from the city.
