Hidden behind the bustle of the Asakusa temple approach, this is the private garden of the head priest's residence, attributed to a renowned seventeenth-century tea master and landscape designer. A large pond, curving paths, and carefully placed stones create a strolling garden that most visitors never see, as it opens only during limited seasonal periods. From within, the five-story pagoda and the tall broadcasting tower rise beyond the trees, layering old and new Tokyo in a single view. Its rarity makes it a prized find.
