Occupying the former northern citadel of Edo Castle, this wooded park lies within the Imperial Palace grounds and blends broad lawns with old stone ramparts and a large pond. It gathers several cultural institutions, including a science museum and a modern crafts gallery, and its tree cover turns brilliant in autumn. The park is entered through preserved castle gates, and quiet paths draw joggers and families away from surrounding office districts. Cherry trees along the adjoining moat make it a spring highlight.
