In a wooded gorge on the Agura River near Sochi, this series of cascades is among the most popular natural excursions on the Black Sea coast, reached by a marked trail that climbs through the ravine. The largest fall drops in stages over rock ledges into pools that swell after rain and slow to a trickle in dry summers. The path passes cliffs, caves and viewpoints, continuing toward the heights of Mount Akhun above. Shaded and cool even in high summer, the gorge offers an accessible taste of the Caucasus foothills close to the resort.
