This outdoor and indoor memorial in the Maskavas district commemorates the Jewish community of Latvia destroyed during the Second World War. Set near the former ghetto, the site includes reconstructed cobbled streets, a wall inscribed with the names of victims and a preserved railway wagon used in deportations. Exhibits document Jewish life before the war and the events of the Holocaust in Latvia. The sombre memorial serves as a place of remembrance and education, standing amid the old wooden houses of the historic neighbourhood.
