This Gothic hall on Pikk Street served as the meeting house of Tallinn's most powerful merchant guild from the early fifteenth century. Its vaulted main room, supported by slender pillars, hosted feasts, elections and the ceremonies that governed the town's commercial life. The stone facade with pointed doorway remains largely unchanged since medieval times. Today the building houses part of the Estonian History Museum, whose exhibits trace the region's past through artefacts, coins and interactive displays.
