The Poznański Palace is an ostentatious 19th-century residence built by a leading Łódź textile industrialist beside his enormous factory, earning it comparisons to a French chateau. Its lavish neo-Baroque interiors, grand staircase, mirrored ballroom and richly panelled rooms display the wealth of the city's cotton barons. Now home to the City of Łódź Museum, it presents the history of the multicultural industrial metropolis alongside its opulent original décor.
