Manufaktura

Manufaktura is a large cultural and shopping complex in Łódź created from the restored red-brick factories of the 19th-century textile magnate Izrael Poznański. The vast site preserves the industrial architecture of a former cotton empire, its long façades and chimneys now housing shops, restaurants, museums and a hotel around an enormous public square. Cultural venues include an art museum branch and a factory museum recalling the city's textile heyday.
