Often nicknamed the third cathedral of Zaragoza, this Mudéjar church is crowned by an octagonal brick tower decorated with the geometric patterns and glazed tilework that define the regional style, part of a UNESCO listing. Founded in the thirteenth century in a district of craftsmen, it holds a monumental gilded Renaissance altarpiece and a series of chapels funded by the local guilds. The blend of Islamic-derived brick artistry with Christian function makes it an emblem of Aragon's shared heritage near the Ebro.
