Isla Mágica

This theme park occupies part of the former grounds of the 1992 Universal Exposition on an island in the river north of the old city. Its attractions are themed around the age of exploration and Spain's sixteenth-century voyages to the Americas, with recreated colonial towns, galleon-inspired settings, and a variety of rides and shows. Water rides and roller coasters mingle with historical theming across landscaped grounds. The park keeps alive part of the legacy of the world's fair that transformed the city's riverfront.
