Set on a quiet Saint-Germain square, this museum occupies the apartment and garden studio where the Romantic painter Eugène Delacroix spent his final years. He moved here to be near the church of Saint-Sulpice, where he was completing celebrated murals. The intimate rooms display his paintings, drawings, letters and personal effects, while the leafy studio and garden evoke his working life. Administered in association with the Louvre, the site preserves a rare glimpse into a 19th-century artist's private world within the busy Left Bank.
