The green wall separating Caracas from the Caribbean, known officially as Waraira Repano, laced with trails caraqueños hike every weekend. A cable car rises to Pico El Ávila at 2,100 meters for views over both city and sea, and longer routes cross to the old coffee hamlets of the seaward slope.
