Grenada's capital wraps around a horseshoe harbour called the Carenage, where pastel Georgian buildings climb steep volcanic hillsides. Spice markets trade in the nutmeg and mace that gave the island its nickname, and a hand-dug eighteenth-century tunnel still links the harbour to the town centre.
